GLA ALA Book Drive
GLA ALA Book Drive
To celebrate GLA ALA’s commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Accessibility (DEIA), and in acknowledgment of Black History Month, GLA ALA entered into a special collaboration with Lee & Low Books. The purpose of this collaboration is to provide books to schools and nonprofits with themes that focus on race, religion, culture, gender, and all the other things that make our country, companies and associations wonderfully diverse. These books are tailored for children in grades K through 5; our intent is to provide these young readers and leaders with characters who look like them, and themes that resonate with them.
With your help, we will be able to donate these special books to the Toys & Books Lending Library of the Department of Social Services (DPSS) for over 1,000 children ages 5 through 17.
If you wish to contribute to this book drive, please follow the payment link below.
This book drive will be active the entire month of February 2021, ending on Sunday, February 28, 2021.
Thank you for your generosity!
Please note that contributions are not tax-deductible.
